Several parts shown below are available in CPVC plastic (gray in color) and polypropylene (white). Where a separate part number does not exist, specify CPVC or polypro when ordering. Some parts also available in Kynar (PVDF) and stainless steel. Contact us for information on Kynar and SS replacement parts. Motor Replacement: Instructions for replacing the BX3000 Motor are shown at this link. However, for repairs outside of the Flo King factory, many customers prefer to order the Motor with Balanced Shaft Attached (3000 MOTSHF) because it is much easier to install (does not require removal, re-installation and re-balancing of the old Shaft on the new Motor). Standard BX3000 Motor is 0.33 hp. A special "High-Density" Motor rated at 3/4 hp is used primarily to pump thick solutions (e.g., sulfuric/phosphoric acid electropolishing). Three-phase Motors are 1 hp.

To determine pump-body length, measure "A" Dimension on drawing at this link: BX3000 Specs. To identify material of construction, check color of pump Body submerged in solution. Gray in color is CPVC; white is polypro. Those are the two most popular materials. We also offer stainless steel and Kynar (PVDF).

Standard Shaft is made of stainless steel. Titanium-Tip Shaft and Hastelloy-C276-Alloy-Tip Shaft available as a precaution for aggressive solutions that may attack SS. All Shafts covered with Teflon Heat-Shrink Tubing.

Titanium-Tip or Hastelloy-C276-Alloy-Tip Shaft is a special factory-installed item recommended as a precaution for aggressive acids that may attack standard stainless-steel Shaft on BX3000, BX5000, BXL2500 & BXL5000. Tip is 2-1/2" long (6.35 cm) and threads onto standard SS Shaft & into Impeller Insert.

Impeller Insert

IMPELLER INSERT

Threaded stainless-steel Insert is installed on all BX3000, BX5000, BXL2500 & BXL5000 Impellers at Flo King factory. Special titanium Inserts and Hastelloy-C276-alloy Inserts are available as a precaution for aggressive solutions that may attack standard SS Insert.

Material of construction should be same for Shaft (or Shaft Tip) and Insert.
