FAQ

WHY ARE FLO KING PUMPS AVAILABLE WITH DIFFERENT BODY LENGTHS?

All Flo King pumps are available in different body lengths to accommodate varying freeboards (distance from top of tank to solution surface) and tank depths.

bx1200 group lengths

The "weep hole" and internal impeller must be submerged at all times, or the pump will not operate. Like the propeller of an outboard boat motor, the Impeller spins at high speed and cannot perform its task without liquid contact.

Solution must be at least 0.5 inch (1.27 cm) above the weep hole on the Lab Series, 1 inch (2.54 cm) above the weep hole on the BX650 and BX1200, 3 inches (7.62 cm) above the lower weep hole on the BX3000 and BXL2500, and 4 inches (10 cm) above the lower weep hole on the BX5000 and BXL5000.

WHICH PUMP BODY LENGTH SHOULD I USE?

In general, select the shortest length that is suitable for the application. Shorter bodies cost less and the shorter internal shafts are less likely to become unbalanced if the pump is subjected to harsh accidental impact.
