WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE KURT TUBE ACCESSORY?

Most customers just the mount the Flo King pump in the corner of the tank and use a 45-Degree Elbow on the Discharge Port pointed at a slight downward angle toward the longest tank wall, as illustrated below.

For special applications, some customers use the Kurt Tube sparger accessory instead of the 45-degree elbow.

The Kurt Tube provides a highly uniform, unidirectional source of agitation that can be targeted toward the workpiece or other tank area. It can be positioned horizontally or vertically as needed in several configurations, as shown at this link.

For the BX650 and BX1200, the Kurt Tube is available in the following lengths: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, and 26 inches (30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65 cm).

For the BX3000, BX5000, BXL2500 and BXL5000, the Kurt Tube is available in these lengths: 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 and 48 inches (45, 50, 55, 61, 66, 71, 76, 81, 86, 92, 97, 102, 107, 112, 117 and 122 cm).

Each Kurt Tube includes one 90-Degree Elbow and an End Cap.

The Lab Series Filter System, typically used for laboratory and prototype tanks about 10 gallons or less, includes a Dispersion Tube (DTL), which is about 6" long (15.24 cm).
